This is a very good sampling of what I like to think of as "The Lighter Side of Jim McDermott". The first and third cartoon drawings could have come out of the pages of an old Mad Magazine (do I detect some Jack Davis influences?). Also worthy of note is the evolution of the whole Monster Mania cartoon. I am guessing the first drawing had to be scrapped because of copyright problems (or else Frankie was not "child-friendly" enough for the publishers).
